The First Hokage was the founder of Hidden Leaf Village and used his unique Mokuton abilities to create the village. He was the older brother of the Second, and the grandfather of Tsunade. During his life he fought Kakuzu, but the details of their battle are never elaborated upon. He saw the people of Hidden Leaf Village as a part of him, and put them before anything else. His spirit even now takes a firm root in Hidden Leaf Village. He was resurrected and summoned by Orochimaru to battle the Third Hokage, who is eventually forced to seal away his soul to defeat him. Prior to this defeat, the First uses Bringer of Darkness Technique to cause the Third to see nothing but total darkness, allowing the First to attack him unseen. In earlier years Orochimaru injected the First's DNA into 60 test subjects in an attempt to replicate his Mokuton abilities. Only one of the test subjects, Yamato, survived and retained the First's abilities.
The Fourth Kazekage was the previous leader of Sunagakure. He is the father of Gaara, Temari and Kankuro, and husband of Karura. By his order, the one-tailed Shukaku was sealed within Gaara so that he could become the village's ultimate weapon. However, as Gaara grew and his abilities began to manifest, the Fourth realized that this had been a poor choice and started to view Gaara as a failed experiment who was a threat to the inhabitants of Sunagakure. Beginning around the time Gaara turned six, the Fourth began issuing orders for Gaara's assassination, none of which were ever successful. The Fourth Hokage(Minato Namikaze) was the brave and immensely powerful ninja responsible for sealing the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox inside his son, Naruto Uzumaki, soon after Naruto's birth. After completing the sealing and trying to deter the villagers from hating Naruto for the beast within him, wanting them to instead think of Naruto as a hero, Minato died as a side effect of performing the seal. Minato is noted to look very similar to his son, and they share a number of connections and similarities. Despite this, the truth of Naruto's parentage is not revealed until long after the series's start. In his youth Minato, along with two other unknown Genin, was a student of Jiraiya, and sometime in his life, had a child, Naruto, with Kushina Uzumaki. Prior to becoming Hokage he was also the sensei of Kakashi Hatake, Obito Uchiha, and Rin. "Namikaze" translates literally as "wave wind". Minato is said to be the greatest ninja Hidden Leaf Village had ever produced, with natural talent that had not been seen in many years. Minato created several distinctive techniques, including the Flying Thunder God Technique ,which essentially allowed him to teleport to any location with the use of a special seal, or "jutsu formula" . By attaching the seal to a kunai or an enemy, Minato could teleport to the location of the seal unnoticed, allowing him to wipe out nearby opponents almost instantly. This ability caused him to acquire the title as "Hidden Leaf Village's Yellow Flash" and it caused him to be seen as so dangerous that a flee-on-sight order was given in regards to him during the Third Ninja War. He also used the Rasengan, a technique that does not rely on hand seals but instead uses a concentration of spinning chakra in one's palm that causes immense damage to its victim on contact. Later in the series it is revealed that technique is actually incomplete. Minato had planned to add his own nature manipulation training to the Rasengan, making it even more powerful, but couldn't manage to prior to his death.
Fubuki Kakuyoku is a snow kunoichi that accompanied Nadare Roga and Mizore Fuyukuma. "Fubuki" means blizzard or snowstorm. She fought against Sasuke Uchiha, and was largely successful in countering the majority of his fire jutsu, including his Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique with her Ice Prison Technique and his Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique with the wings on her armor. She was ultimately defeated when Sasuke sent her flying on a collision course with Lion Combo into her partner, Mizore Fuyukuma, to which their chakra armor reacted in the form of an explosion. It is unknown if she is dead.
Fugaku Uchiha was the father of Sasuke Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha, and the husband of Mikoto Uchiha. He was the captain of the Hidden Leaf Village Military Police. He strongly believed that Itachi was the clan's future, and did all in his power to help achieve this goal. As a result he often neglected Sasuke, though Itachi did manage to force them together from time to time, such as by saying that he would neglect his duties to be there for Sasuke. Once Itachi began to distance himself from the clan, he and Fugaku apparently had a falling out and as a result Fugaku began to spend more time with Sasuke, coming to consider him the pride of the clan. After training Sasuke in the Uchiha clan's more basic jutsu, he instructed his youngest son not to follow in Itachi's footsteps. He was later killed by Itachi.
Futaba was Konohamaru's classmate at the Ninja Academy. When Iruka gave his history lesson in front of the Hokage monument, the Third Hokage stepped in to talk to the class about the job of Hokage. When The Third told the students that they should protect the people precious to them, she stated her parents, brother and her dog Gonta were precious to her. Futaba would later join Hibari and Kouji in a mission to Takurami Mountain under Hyuuga Neji. Futaba and her teammates would marvel at Neji's ability to navigate with the hands on a wrist watch when a compass would not work.
Fuujin is a criminal from the Fire Country. He and his brother Raijin, are dim-witted powerhouses who will do almost anything for food. The brothers often complain about insufficient food in prison, and usually break out just for the purpose of obtaining food. While in prison the brothers were brought into the service of former Leaf chuunin Mizuki in exchange for food. He used the sibling's brute strength to help him and a few other prisoners break out. He then enlisted their services again to seek revenge against Konoha. The brothers were captured by Team 6's new Ino-Shika-Cho formation and with the help of Tsunade whose brute strength rivaled that of the brothers.
